LEGISLATOR-District 16
Meet Dan D'Amico

Daniel D’Amico is a lifelong public servant, small business owner, and dedicated family man who has spent his career fighting for the people of Yonkers. Raised in a hardworking union family, Daniel learned early the value of discipline, sacrifice, and community. He went on to serve as a firefighter with the Fire Department of the City of New York, putting his life on the line to protect others in their most critical moments. That experience shaped his leadership style: calm under pressure, decisive when it matters, and always focused on serving others before himself.
After his service in the firehouse, Daniel built a successful real estate business from the ground up. As a licensed broker and investor, he and his team have helped hundreds of families navigate one of the most important financial decisions of their lives. With more than 400 properties sold across Manhattan over the past decade, Daniel understands housing, taxes, development, and the economic pressures facing working families. He brings real world experience to the table, not political talking points. His background gives him firsthand insight into how policy impacts homeowners, small businesses, and neighborhoods.
Daniel has been married for ten years and is proud to raise his family in the community he serves. He believes local government should be accountable, transparent, and focused on public safety, economic growth, and protecting taxpayers. Grounded in faith, family, and service, Daniel is running to bring practical leadership and common sense solutions to City Hall. He is not a career politician. He is a public servant ready to put experience into action for the people of Yonkers.
BIOGRAPHY
VISION FOR THE YONKERS
Daniel D’Amico’s vision for Westchester County is clear and unapologetic: no more property tax increases, real relief on rising energy costs, and policies that help families own homes instead of being locked into permanent rent. As a small business owner and real estate professional, Daniel understands how crushing taxes and utility bills are squeezing working families and seniors on fixed incomes. He will fight to freeze and reduce the county property tax burden, push for smarter energy policy to lower utility costs, and promote responsible development that prioritizes homeownership and neighborhood stability. He is equally committed to fixing long standing flooding problems that damage homes and infrastructure, and to confronting homelessness with solutions that combine accountability, public safety, and real pathways to stability. Daniel believes county government must get back to basics: protect taxpayers, protect neighborhoods, and build a future where families can afford to stay and succeed in Westchester.
