Why I’m Running for Westchester County Legislator
For most people, politics is something they watch on television. For me, it became personal.
I’m running for Westchester County Legislator because Yonkers is home. It’s where my family lives, where my children are, and where I want future generations to have the opportunity to build a life without being forced out by rising costs, unsafe conditions, and government policies that seem increasingly disconnected from the people they serve.
Like many families here in Yonkers, we’ve watched everyday life become harder. Taxes continue to rise. Utility bills have become overwhelming. Flooding continues to impact neighborhoods year after year with little meaningful action. Families are working harder than ever just to stay in the communities they love.
That’s not the future I want for my family, and it’s not the future I want for yours.
As a former FDNY firefighter, I spent years serving others during some of the most difficult moments of their lives. That experience taught me something important: leadership is not about headlines or politics. It’s about showing up when people need help. It’s about listening, solving problems, and putting people first.
Today, I see too many residents feeling ignored by government. Families feel priced out. Small business owners feel overburdened. Seniors worry about remaining in the homes they worked their entire lives for. Young families question whether they can afford to raise children here long term.
Westchester County should be a place where hardworking people can succeed, not struggle to survive.
I’m running because I believe we need more common sense and fiscal responsibility in county government. We need leadership that focuses on public safety, affordability, infrastructure, and protecting taxpayers instead of wasting money on projects that do not improve daily life for residents.
Our priorities should be clear:
Safer neighborhoods.
Lower taxes.
Better infrastructure.
Flood mitigation solutions.
Affordable living for working families.
Responsible budgeting that respects taxpayers.
This campaign is not about politics as usual. It’s about restoring trust and making sure residents once again feel heard by their elected officials.
I want my children to be left a Yonkers that is safe, affordable, and thriving. I want families to feel proud to stay here, invest here, and build their futures here. I want seniors to retire here with dignity. I want small businesses to grow instead of being pushed out.
Most importantly, I want to leave this city and this county better than I found it.
That is why I’m running for Westchester County Legislator.
Because the future of Yonkers is worth fighting for.
